you will need math in astronomy to calculate location, size, orbit, and distance; I mean this in the kindest of ways you need math for astronomy and its complicated math

Astronomers are basically specialized physicists, and for physics you need 3 semesters of calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra – at the least. If you’re bad at math, you won’t make it too far.

why do ppl keep asking this? math is cool!

If you want to do something bad enough, you can get it done. You’ll just have to work extra hard at it.

If you are bad at math, it’s because somewhere along the way your math teachers didn’t make all of the basics clear to you. Okay, you’ll need to go back and figure out what it is you didn’t understand from the basics.

I’d like to suggest a couple of math and science related educational institutions that may be able to help you and not cost an arm and a leg in the process.

    See: MathTutorDVD.com
    http://www.mathtutordvd.com/

Offer DVD math courses from grade school to college physics and calculus.

    and

    The Teaching Company
    http://www.TEACH12.com
    1-800-832-2412 In the USA

DVD courses in Philosophy, History, Art, Music, Mathematics –Chaos, Calculus, Number theory, Algerba — Physics, String theory, The Universe, Astronomy, Big Bang, Particle Physics, Biology, Psychology, and much more.

Both of these institutions offer math and science course at a very reasonable price. Check them out.

Good luck to you. Make it happen!

you can’t be an astronomer if you don’t know math. NOT WITH THAT GRAMMAR too.

Sorry not a chance. You need an astrophysics degree minimum which means you need good maths.
To do real astronomy you need an astrophysics PhD which requires a maths, physics or astrophysics degree which….
